the Yogi’s Compass

Wisdom for Navigating life

Life’s journey is miraculous and unpredictable. For some, it goes along straight and easeful while for others the path is full of bumpy turns and painful, uphill climbs. Most of us are somewhere in-between and can find ourselves needing a roadmap to navigate the unexpected.

What we learn on the mat in Yoga is of equal value as to what it can teach us in our off the mat life. The wisdom of Yoga applies to our every day, and almost every situation. How we use this wisdom can determine the ways and the degree to which we suffer.  Discover the tools from these ancient teachings that help ease the challenging times, and guide you towards peace and happiness even in the midst of hardship.

There is no way around it- life is full of challenges. There is no avoiding the up’s and downs, the pain, the joy, the loss, and the love. Often in the midst of transition things are harder. It’s easy to loose perspective, feel lost and disconnected, be hard on yourself and your loved ones, takes things personally, and even sit in fear, anxiety or depression.

I know because I’ve been there.

I’ve put myself last in parenthood, struggled through grief, and tried to use perfectionism to find balance.

One of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned is that having the right tools makes any endeavor easier- a sharp knife in the kitchen, a map when exploring a new city, or a compass on an adventure through the woods.

Having the right tools makes it easier to maneuver through life too- like self-inquiry and reflection skills, stress management techniques, and support from other like- minded humans walking the same path.

The Yogi’s have spent centuries exploring why we suffer and how we can live with greater ease, and I’ve dedicated my life to these pursuits.

I’d love to share with you what I’ve learned and help make it relevant to your everyday. I’d love to be your trailguide as you navigate life
